Doctor
Loree S. Nicholas, D.D.S.
Dr. Nicholas was born and raised in Chicago. Upon graduating
from high school she attended Wright Jr. College for 2 years and continued
her education by completing a one year certification course in dental
assisting at the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry. Having worked
full time as a dental assistant for 4 years for a large and very successful
practice in Skokie IL, she realized her passion. In 1982, Dr. Nicholas
returned to school full time to complete her undergraduate studies at Loyola
University while still maintaining part time assisting hours in Skokie. On a
personal note, Dr. Nicholas would like to thank Dr.Gene Mendelson for being
her mentor and inspiration. She completed her dental degree and graduated
from Northwestern University Dental School in April 1988.

Dr. Nicholas and her staff stay current by regularly
attending continuing education classes and hands on utilization courses so
you can feel confident of their commitment to learning and staying up to
date. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Chicago Dental
Society, Illinois State Dental Society, Holistic Dental Association and the
Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce. She has taught dental health care and
prevention to the grade schools in her community and loves letting the
children be helpers in her own practice setting. “The children really love
donning on the gloves and mask and diving right in to help with their
brother, sister or even their parents appointments. They are truly
fascinated by the whole experience and they tell me how much fun they’ve
had. I can’t tell you how many parents have told me that their kids can’t
wait until their next check ups. How cool is that!”
Dr. Nicholas experienced her first mission trip in May 2011
to Panama. " It was one of the best encounters I have ever experienced. Our team of
13 was amazing and providing treatment to an area in such need was such a
rewarding feeling and a wonderful process. I am very enthusiastic to
continue the work. I am committed to help where I can." A special thank you
to Rich and Jane Dunn, team leaders from the United Methodist Church in Glen
Ellyn.
Having served in the field of dentistry for over 30 years Dr. Nicholas feels
she knows how to customize each patients visit. Her focus lies on
prevention, education and patient interaction while maintaining optimum oral
health and improving your smile. Whether you are 1 or 101, whether you
experience fear or are fearless, whether you are overcome with anxiety and
look forward to relaxing at your next appointment she makes it her mission
to watching you go home happy.
Dr. Nicholas is married and has 2 daughters. In her off time, she is
most at peace being outside with nature. Her love of the outdoors is
apparent through all her bike riding, hiking and traveling. Having recently
taken canyoneering lessons to include tower climbing and repelling in
Southern Utah. Her other passions include creativity on a much larger scale.
She loves to decorate and creates her own signature style from scratch. “It
is so easy to recreate your home and stay green with simple little finds
that virtually cost little or nothing. I adore helping friends and family
get their own homes ready for entertaining. I am definitely interested in
interior design and plan to pursue other avenues within that arena. Now that
my daughters are in college I can now take the time outside of
the office to venture off into other areas that I love.”
